At the heart of my world are my kids, Everett and Elliana, and my husband, Scott—who loves finding clever, everyday ways to get them excited about space, physics, and financial literacy! At home, our learning approach is constructivist, meaning we trust kids to build their own understanding of the world through active doing, creating, and playing. On any given day, that might look like harvesting from our food gardens, restoring native plant habitats, reading heaps of good books, playing games, or baking together from scratch.

To support our journey, I draw on a rich background in education. Before launching Wonderwend Hollow, I spent over 15 years in early childhood classrooms—from Head Start to kindergarten at a STEM charter school. I hold degrees in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education, Elementary Education, and Reading, plus an advanced degree in Effective Teaching. Having spent so much time on both sides of the educational coin, I’ve seen firsthand—inside and outside the traditional classroom—what truly works to nurture young minds, and what falls short.

Wonderwend Hollow started with a simple dream: I wanted a childhood for our kids—and others—rooted in real-world discovery where unique passions lead the way, family-style learning is embraced, child agency is honored, and people of all abilities are genuinely welcomed. We desired a true village for our children—something far deeper than simply being around other people. Wonderwend Hollow was created to offer a warm, welcoming home base where families can build meaningful, consistent relationships with others who are walking a similar journey.
