Wonderwend Hollow is a place where young adventurers build community, explore the world, and nurture their curiosity.

A Note for the Ones Who Don't Fit the Mold
If you've tried the school system and it didn't feel right...
If you've joined the homeschool groups and still felt out of place...
If you're curious about homeschooling but unsure where to begin...
If you're looking for something deeper than a park playdate - but less rigid than school...
You're not alone.
I'm building something for the families who want more - more connection, more curiosity, more trust in themselves and their children.
Not more worksheets. Not more pressure. Just a space to wonder, to explore, and to grow - together.
We are a secular, inclusive gathering for families with young children (ages 3-7, with siblings always welcome).
We balance wild, child-led free play with thoughtful invitations to discover - field trips, seasonal celebrations, and hands-on experiences shaped by the children's interests.
It's not a drop-off program.
It's not a drop-in program.
It's not academically intense.
And it's not a co-op that asks parents to teach or volunteer.
Instead, it's a small, connected community growing alongside the families who call it home.
Our learning path bends and blossoms with the rhythms of the group - not the constraints of a rigid curriculum.
We draw inspiration from educational standards when they serve us, but we're not bound to them.
The goal isn't to check boxes - it's to cultivate curiosity, build confidence, and nurture connection.
There is a tuition fee to support the materials, planning, and experiences we offer - but the heart of the Wonderwend Hollow is found in the presence, care, and trust we cultivate together.
We'll make space for wild play, rich conversations, meaningful adventures, and ongoing growth - for both children and parents.
I don't have all the answers - but I do bring the heart of a teacher, the insight of a homeschooler, and a deep belief in children's natural growth. As a former teacher turned homeschool parent, I've seen what works and what doesn't - from both inside and outside the school system.
Wonderwend Hollow is my way of offering something more grounded, more respectful, and more aligned with how kids actually grow and thrive.
If this resonates, you're welcome to apply.
Our space is small, intentional, and built for those who are ready to grow something beautiful together.

Mission
Our mission is to build a secular homeschool community that empowers parents as their child’s first and most important teacher. We aim to create a space where children feel a true sense of belonging, can take leadership in their learning and play, and are inspired by new ideas, experiences, and the world around them.
Values
1. Community and Belonging
We believe true connection comes from consistent community, where children and families on similar journeys feel a sense of belonging, support, and shared purpose.
2. Curiosity and Wonder
We strive to nurture each child’s innate sense of wonder, sparking their passion for exploration, learning, and adventure.
3. Balanced Learning
We value a blend of child-led learning and exposure to new ideas, creating opportunities for curiosity-driven exploration alongside intentional guidance.
4. Parent-Child Connection
Recognizing parents as their child’s first and most important teacher, we aim to strengthen the parent-child bond through collaborative learning and shared experiences.
5. Experiential and Eclectic Learning
We embrace secular and flexible curricula, emphasizing experiential learning, critical thinking, creativity, and real-world problem-solving, while incorporating input from both parents and children.
6. Safe and Inclusive Space
We are committed to upholding a safe, inclusive environment that honors autonomy and focuses on shared values. We strive to be a neurodivergent-affirming community, where differences in learning, communication, and behavior are respected and supported. (Refer to our Safe Space and Inclusion Commitment).
7. Learning Beyond Four Walls
We see the world as our classroom, prioritizing experiential learning through field trips and outdoor exploration. We ask families to actively engage by attending a variety of locations and maintaining clear communication about participation and attendance.
8. Growing Together
We hope that this will be an enriching experience for your family and that this first year is just the beginning. We envision our group growing with your child and offering more for siblings as we go.
